Is your faith hot, cold, or lukewarm? What is your spiritual
temperature? These questions are important to Cod and important to our
living successful Christian lives. In these times of great spiritual
warfare, know that through Christ you have a "quickening spirit" which
gives you power to live strong for God. "What then shall we say to these
things? If God be for us, who can be against us." Romans 8:31.
Sermon Notes
What is Your Spiritual Temperature?
Revelation 3:15-16 “I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So because you are lukewarm – neither hot nor cold – I am about to spit you out of my mouth.”
1. HOT: You are GROWING
II Thessalonians 1:3 “Your faith is growing more and more, and the love all of you have for one another is increasing.”
2. COLD: You don’t KNOW God yet
John 1:4 “But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name.”
3. LUKEWARM: You are DRIFTING
Hebrews 2:1 “We must pay the most careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away.”
I Corinthians 9:24 “Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. (25) Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever.”
*Desire – Discipline – Training – Conditioning – Sacrifice – Recovery – Determination
*Inspiration without Perspiration is just Imagination
7 Ways To Raise Your Spiritual Temperature
1. Get back in the Word – In the beginning was the Word…
Luke 24:32 “Did not our hearts burn within us while He talked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?”
2. Get your Worship on – Not just singing & dancing… but righteous living!
Romans 12:1 “Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God – this is your spiritual act of worship.”
3. Pray to your Heavenly Father – Get Connected
Matthew 6:6 “But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.”

5. Get rid of your Resentments – maybe towards your Father & Mother?
Matt. 24:10 “And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.”

I Corinthians 15:33 “Do not be misled: Bad company corrupts good character. (34) Come back to your senses as you ought, and stop sinning; for there are some who are ignorant of God – I say this to your shame”
7. Exercise your Spiritual Gifts – Volunteer, upcoming Youth Camp, Church Work Day
I Peter 4:10 “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.”
